While patents are necessary, they are not sufficient. RXI-109 also needs to work well (enough) to garner interest.



Exactly. Without the patent, the technology is not worth much so the patent is necessary and valuable.

But, it also has to work and be proven in trials - which is what they are working on now.

They report on this in early Q3?
