For itching, don't dialysis patients receive Benadryl for treating that?



Problem is, benadryl doesn't work adequately for most. It is given if first line topical treatments fail, or if the pruritus is generalized, because it's cheap. Approximately 25% of the patients in this trial were on it, by the way. Plenty of unmet need, in spite of the availability of Benadryl and other drugs.
