it's getting late in the month to stop the sweep.

While there is some strategic rationale with waiting on the sweep, in my opinion that is swamped by the importance of righting a major wrong and in the process helping out Americans.

A simple press release which cited pausing the sweep to protect the government / taxpayers' asset (80pct warrants) while at the same time emphasizing goals of a bipartisan comprehensive housing reform policy through Congress would have been good and also bought them a lot of time from many constituencies --- at this point no one is asking for immediate recap and release.
