I agree that those are the kinds of things that need figured out or worked on. And maybe they already have. Perhaps, and I'm only speculating on this, with what little personal knowledge I have myself from my own solar and wind energy projects... that that kind of info is 'classified'. I don't know.
I would assume, that they already know what they're going to do, and how they're going to do it. Why release it to the general public, when they may view it as private info that is key to the entegrity of their project. And releasing it to the public, just to appease some naysayers would be detrimental and counter intuitive to the project itself.
Why do they need to release every single aspect of the project and how it will work. If it was my project, and I had paid someone to work on research and highly speculative info such as this kind of project, I certainly wouldn't be sharing it with anyone. But to that affect, saying that that was what they were doing, would go a long way with me and may investors.
Perhaps this is how a company says politely, by not saying it at all..."this is none of your business for now. Stay tuned". And if that is the case, they could say that without revealing highly confidential workings of the project itself.
