WHY VIXIMO IS IMPORTANT AND THE HUGE POTENTIAL HERE! Please read. Here is some of what I unearthed and posted a few weeks ago. Anyone who knows my posts knows I am a big picture person and like to find connections and dig things up. So here is something to keep in mind as we wait for news on developments from Pocket Games. This is probably the main reason I bought into Pocket Games. Keep in mind these are my own thoughts and my own research so please make your own decisions! I didn't have time this morning to get into it any further, but may post more later. Now...

I posted this a few weeks ago on another ticker, when I was researching the Vert Capital connections, and discovered the following. As you know, Pocket Games acquired Viximo (Social Technology Holdings) last year. Viximo is important because it is a social gaming platform that Pocket Games will build out and develop, enabling them to reach global distribution channels and become the leader in the distribution of games worldwide. Bear with me and you will see how important all of this is.

From the PR (link is after these quotes)

“The Viximo platform is a key acquisition that allows us to target the massive social mobile gaming community,” said David Lovatt, Chief Executive Officer at Pocket Games. “We have engaged our development resources and testing center to further develop the Viximo Platform and we look forward to announcing app-store partners in key markets coming months. Our next priority to secure the right distribution channels in these markets.”

"“The social gaming industry continues to grow at double digit CAGR, and we expect it to reach an astounding $20 billion by 2020,” said Michael Pope, President at Viximo. “David Lovatt and the Pocket Games team recognize the opportunity, and have the talent and resources to emerge as a significant player. The industry has seen rapid change since I first played Farmville in 2009. Today’s social gamers demand sophisticated and engaging experiences with access across multiple devices in both the desktop and mobile sphere. Game developers are responding with amazing speed. However, there is still a massive distribution need, especially from developers seeking access to the lucrative Japanese, India, China, Russia and South American Markets. Under David’s leadership, the Viximo platform can become the leading distribution partner, providing accelerated global reach to today’s game developers.”

History[edit]
Viximo was founded in October 2008 by Brian Balfour and Sean Lindsay. In April 2009, the company secured US $5 million in a round of funding from North Bridge Venture Partners and Sigma Partners.[1][2][3] In January 2010, Viximo appointed Dale Strang as Chief Executive Officer.[4][5] In July 2012, the company received an investment from Michael Pope and Adam Levin. Michael Pope was appointed President in July 2012.
In October 2015, Viximo announced the sale of the company to Pocket Games, Inc. (OTC PINK: PKGM).
In October 2009, Viximo announced its partnership with Zorpia.com, an international social network with 16 million worldwide users.

In November 2009, Viximo added music company Interscope Geffen A&M, a division of Universal Music Group, to its portfolio of clients and powered Lady Gaga's Gift Shop on Facebook.

In January 2010, Viximo was one of 11 Boston start-ups honored as winners of the 2010 OnMedia 100 Top Private Companies Award.[6]
In late July 2012, Viximo was acquired by Social Technology Holdings, Inc.

Business model
Viximo is supported by revenue sharing agreements with social networking, online dating and casual gaming sites.[7] Viximo provides these online publishers with the technology needed to run a virtual goods economy which can help them monetize user activities and increase user engagement. The technology includes virtual currency, payment systems, user analytics and white-label apps and games in which users can spend virtual currency. Viximo also works with content creators such as artists, brands, sports teams, athletes and celebrities to distribute and monetize branded content.[8]

Viximo's publisher network reaches over 60 million monthly users. Their clients include:
Bebo
BlackPlanet
FanIQ*Yahoo
Friendster
Gaia Online
Spielweise
StudiVZ
Tuenti
Zorpia.com
Zorpia.com

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viximo

Why is this important? Just as an example, here is the following. And this is just ONE EXAMPLE. StudiVZ, which I put in bold above, is one of the Poolworks' social media sites, and StudiVZ is a client of Viximo. Recently, Momentous Entertainment Group purchased these Poolworks's social media sites and are expanding and building-out their platforms. Poolworks has 14 million subscribers. Poolworks was also a Vert Capital company--Vert bought Poolworks in 2012. (still with me?) This is just ONE social media site that Viximo has as a client, and think of the potential worldwide. This is how I came to realize the importance of Viximo and the potential here. Worldwide potential goes way beyond Facebook.

Just look at how many social media networks Wikipedia lists and I doubt this is even all of them:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites

In addition, Momentous is also going to be purchasing more global social media sites to do the same thing. I'm just showing you why Viximo is important in terms of reaching global social media sites, because social media is a very hot and growing for the entire gaming industry. The gaming industry is supposed to hit 20 billion by 2020. And Pocket Games owns Viximo, and Viximo is a major part of how Pocket Games is going to distribute their games worldwide.

Just take a look at this older PR from Viximo. What's important is to understand Viximo's role in Pocket Games. I think then you get an idea of how huge our potential is here guys.

Study Commissioned by Viximo Finds Social Gaming Beyond Facebook to Reach $5.6 Billion in Worldwide Revenue by 2014
Key International Markets Represent Majority of Non-Facebook Growth

October 10, 2011 01:15 PM Eastern Daylight Time
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The non-Facebook category of social gaming will represent the bulk of worldwide revenue generated in the social gaming market, exploding from $3.2 billion to $5.6 billion in 2014, according to a new white paper released by leading social games and apps platform Viximo. The study, conducted by SuperData Research, found that while Asia is the largest social games market, non-Facebook platforms in Western markets will be responsible for nearly one-quarter of worldwide social gaming revenue within the next three years.

“The social web beyond Facebook is often overlooked when it comes to games and applications. As it turns out, social networks beyond Facebook represent a non-trivial – in fact, significant – and fertile ground for games and apps”

Despite Facebook’s apparent dominance, especially within the United States, Facebook currently represents only about a third of worldwide traffic for social networks. The white paper’s findings show that beyond the borders of North America, where Facebook is the clear market leader, the majority of social gaming revenue is made on other platforms, with more focused and locally incumbent social networks dominating new growth.

Key markets including Brazil, Germany, Russia and Turkey are currently experiencing a rapid trajectory in increased non-Facebook social gaming traffic and present significant, incremental distribution with strong monetization and lower customer acquisition costs for social game developers.

“The social web beyond Facebook is often overlooked when it comes to games and applications. As it turns out, social networks beyond Facebook represent a non-trivial – in fact, significant – and fertile ground for games and apps,” said Dale Strang, CEO, Viximo. “What we uncovered with this study was just how quickly non-Facebook social gaming is exploding around the world, giving game-makers a terrific opportunity to reach new audiences and generate new revenue.”

Among the other white paper findings:

The social gaming market (including Facebook and non-Facebook social networks) is projected to continue to grow, reaching $8.6 billion in worldwide revenue by the end of 2014
Although Asia remains the largest market for social games and has an estimated $2 billion in total revenue for 2011, key markets in South America and Western and Eastern Europe are growing at a phenomenal rate

Russia and Brazil are the two Western countries with the largest social gaming audiences, with 35 million and 32.6 million respectively

Germany is the Western country currently generating the most social gaming revenue with more than $173 million; this is predicted to reach $250 million in 2014

Region-specific social networks like Hyves (the Netherlands) and Tuenti (Spain) offer a mass-market, local experience to their audiences, while other social networks target a distinct market within their regions, such as students with StudiVZ (Germany) or people looking to date on sites like Badoo (UK)
In addition to regional social networks, strong competition from Google+ will provide social game developers with broader distribution and increased potential for monetization
White Paper Methodology

All figures mentioned in this report are based on data collected by SuperData, unless otherwise noted.

Social games operate using a so-called ‘free-to-play’ (F2P) revenue model, in which users are generally not required to spend any money until they reach a certain level in the game. On an on-going basis, SuperData tracks millions of paying online gamers worldwide. The total sample size for this report consisted of 774,158 unique transactions by 152,159 individuals in the six-month period ending on June 1, 2011. SuperData used this data to calculate the average revenue per paying user, or ARPPU, by dividing revenues by total number of paying users. Revenues include both direct payment (e.g. credit cards, mobile, prepaid game cards) and in-direct payment from players using opt-in marketing incentive offers (e.g. offer providers). The figures mentioned in this report do not include revenue generated from display advertising.

In modeling market sizing and forecasts SuperData employed additional data from the World Bank, national census information, and financial records of public companies.

So, based on all of these findings, I expect we will be getting some news this year about Viximo's development by Pocket Games as stated in the last shareholder update.

"During 2016, we acquired the Social Technology Holdings, Inc. and with that came the
Viximo Brand and Technology. We have diligently been redeveloping this tech for the
modern market requirements and we are now close to being able to launch the platform for
full-scale use by western developers. To remind you, the Viximo platform takes Western
developers’ games and products and releases them through a multitude of AppStore outlets
that Viximo partners with in Asian markets. We have high hopes for this tech and we are
preparing our tech and marketing messages for a full-scale 2017 launch."
