No, actually it went down from ~60$ in short interest to ~18$. http://otce.finra.org/ESI Likely just a mistake someone made, shares sold before delivery that never made it, bookkeeping error or maybe a whole bunch of other minor things. The idea that 60$-->18$ in shorts is something important is rather laughable, I guess unless you are homeless and destitute.
