EH - Not so sure. GE seems to have found he can finance any new acquisition by simply starting up the printing press. No bank needed. No fuss at all. Common shareholders have no ability to stop or control the outcomes the way the company's charter is written. GE controls the entire vote based on preferred share rights. So from his perspective - let the good times roll.
