Heres an anecdote from my life, one of the reasons I believe in companies and products like owcp.

My grandma had a shoulder replacement and it HURT. She was always complaining that it hurt to cook, clean, and do all her normal activities. The medication she got from the doctor for the pain made her "loopy" and she couldnt really do much besides lay in bed while she was on it. She also didnt sleep well. At this point my mom who lives with her had been growing her own MJ strains in the backyard to treat her fibromyalgia ( I dont know much about fibro but she swears its the only thing that helps) also this is in Oregon. My grandma is very religious and uncomfortable with MJ. But my mom got her to try edibles she made (she likes the brownie best bec. she says she cant taste the weed)

Bottom line my grandma thought it worked great for the pain (probably the anti-inflammatory properties of mj) and even better to help her sleep. She is uncomfortable with mj. But it seemed if it were in another form it was more like medication to her.
