Say what you want but almost zero pools have achieved the power BTCPOOLPARTY demonstrated, albeit for very short times. The public pool didn't work because they couldn't get enough investors and people to get rigs and join their pool because they were too ahead of their time. They spoke of continuing forward in new capacity but haven't stated how, if they do start mining and collecting bitcoin, among trading and setting up transactions thru coins, potential is exponentially awesome.
