Good morning.
My name is A.J. Cervantes and I'm an executive with Big Cheese, Inc. d/b/a the Grilled Cheese Truck. We are partners with Dave Danhi, the Founder and Celebrity Chef. There is an excellent "History of the Brand" section in the offering docs but I want to clear up a bit of the confusion.
First, we are the new owners of the brand. Big Cheese was formed this last September and entered into a partnership with Dave in October to launch the brand nationally (and, ultimately, internationally). The brand, in the form of food trucks, had only operated locally and then regionally. Dave reacquired the brand in September from American Patriot Brands (GRLD) which owned multiple brands but is no longer in the food business and re-positioned itself in the cannabis business. This created the opportunity for Dave to reacquire the brand and partner with us.
So, to clear up any confusion, the offering being conducted by Big Cheese, Inc. for a major national rollout of gourmet food trucks, micro-stores and food carts, is not related to American Patriot Brands or GRLD, the former owner.
Part of our attraction to the brand, which has been validated regionally for several years due to the great success in the Los Angeles area since its rollout by Dave with a single truck in 2009, is Trilogy Capital, our private equity group, was an investor in APB. As a result, we have had first-hand knowledge of the brand's success. I have personally seen lines over an hour long. In addition, I have seen the national and local media embrace the product. There have been numerous awards. As a result, we believe the product represents an extraordinary opportunity and the brand warrants a national rollout. We also believe we have put together a terrific management team with great experience on both the food industry side and capital markets side.
As noted in our docs, we anticipate following this offering with a Reg A+ offering with an objective of being a publicly-traded company this next year.
