Yeah I've thought about just not driving at all...hang out in Key West with a bicycle..use Uber and Lyft..taxi etc. I know what you mean about it been crazy on the roads these days. Distracted driving has moved up to #1 for fatalities for the Gen-X kids surpassing DUI. Nobody uses a turn signal anymore and interstates have become Nascar races. If it wasnt that I have kids and grandkids very nearby..and love my independence..I would probably sell my vehicles and live on a tropical island without a vehicle.

Good for you for being responsible "back in the day". My experience was quite the opposite. I am in recovery..drank hard and played hard kind of guy. If I knew I was too drunk too drive I would call someone. But I was a black out drinker.. All sanity was down the toilet during a blackout. I never hurt anyone or damaged anything luckily. Probably why I kept my job and never went to hard jail. Did some time in work release but always made it to work. Had a few sympathetic supervisors along the way that saw me through it. I'm thinking about a short stint living in Florida...long enough to approach the DMV for a clean non-restricted license. Florida is a crazy state..I've been on interlock long enough to meet any other states requirement when my driving record is viewed against their state regs. Washington is off the hook with timelines. I have one DUI in the last 12 years. a few more before that when I was in the throws of my drinking career. So I am getting what I deserved, but strongly feel the corrective effect of interlock has been reached and then some.

Looks like the stock wants to kiss .30 again...might buy more..what the hell.
