Thanks for your sympathy.

The hardest thing was making the decision to take her off life support.

An interesting thing happened. I was standing in a garden as I thought about the issue. I had to make the decision what to do and where to go. As I was agonizing over the decision, I felt this weird fluttering on my right shoulder. A little wild bird had landed on my shoulder.

I think it might have been a chickadee.

It hovered directly in front of my face after it took alight again, only about six inches away. Then it flew off. So I knew I was making the right decision.

She died in my arms on May 22. I had forgotten that was Buddha's birthday. I'm a Buddhist.
