Once again, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your continued support of Cannabis Science Inc. I want to reassure you that your loyalty is still valued and recognized as described in our Loyalty Shareholder Gift Program. I appreciate that most of you have been patient as we move forward with the Loyalty Gift Program. However, I do find it necessary to clarify that the shares gifted pursuant to the Loyalty Gift Program are a personal gift from my personal holdings, and not a gift from the company. Please understand there is a major difference as per laws and procedures, when you give a gift, it is a gift, and NOT a public offering.
In past news releases, we have announced that the Loyalty Gift Program will be disclosed at a Cannabis Science Gala event. Over the past few weeks we have made some decisions regarding the Gala Event. We were initially looking at hosting the event in Los Angeles, California, however, now we are looking to host the event in Las Vegas as it might make the costs of traveling to the event more reasonable for our shareholders and provide us with more venue options. We have identified an Event Coordinator and we have already begun the process of selecting a venue in Las Vegas. In addition, we have narrowed down the dates of the event to between July and August of 2017 and we are very excited.
The event will highlight the need for more cannabinoid research and development and will focus on fundraising to benefit the battle of killing cancer and other critical ailments that we have been targeting. At the Gala Event, our management will speak about the company’s progress and future. Additionally, the completion of the shareholder loyalty gift from my personal account is expected to be announced at the Gala event. This is a special thank you to shareholders for their patience as the company has found its feet and taken off into a full sprint.
We have a lot to look forward to in 2017. We have many new ventures and are excited to continue this journey with you. More updates about the celebratory fundraising Gala will be released as soon as we have finalized the details. I have not forgotten about your loyalty, and your understanding and patience will be greatly appreciated.
