YES - unless there is a key factor that requires all existing shares to be canceled or exhanged, buying a naked shorted stock that is not currently in a squeeze is absolute suicide.

Why would you put money into a company when people who are MUCH smarter and better informed think it's going to drop?

It's like having a picnic in a minefield - if you get out OK, great. But one wrong step....

Or like giving your lunch money to the kid who always gets beaten up on the playgound lol. You won't get it back.

HOWEVER - I will always buy a stock that is currently undergoing a squeeze. I wait until the gains are over 80% - then I buy it. My buy only fuels the squeeze - and I cash out that same day or relatively soon thereafter.



Good stocks are obvious. Extensive DD is how you convince yourself to buy a bad one.
