On IHUB I mostly ruminate about investors, not individual stocks. For years I've tried to understand why virtually all investors dreadfully underperform the broad market, a subject that Buffett/Munger often discuss too. I've used my research to polish my own investment performance to a high gloss. My portfolio has proven to be a good one in terms of long term stock performance, tax avoidance and costs. It should do fine in downturns too.

The main cause of performance failure is market and style chasing.... briefly put, loading up -- often on hot investments-- near the top and dumping near the bottom. Flip-flopping. Sound familiar?
