Mentioning CAT and Enron in the same sentence is silly insofar as they have nothing in common.

CAT may have pushed the envelope too far with their tax-avoidance schemes, but this is a matter of degree; every US-based multinational company uses some kind of hocus-pocus to shift income from high-tax US to low-tax jurisdictions.

When the dust settles, I doubt that this matter will affect CAT to a material degree.
