You're comparing the performance of 50+ year old BRK with the five year performance of the NASDAQ 100 and Russell 2000 over a particularly amazing slice of bull market.

From the little I can comprehend from your board, you all seem to change your favorite investing styles with your underwear. No doubt if the market flattened for years (as it did in the 1970s) or sank, you'd lose interest in the QQQ or IWM, and probably get that timing wrong as well. Most hyperactive flippers do.

IWM and QQQ-type stocks did miserably from 2000 to 2005 for example. BRK performed fairly well in the crashes of 2000 and 2008.
