Intrepid Holdings Announces Initiative to Make Clinics Available to State, Local, and Federal Government Entities

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2006--Intrepid Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:ITPD - News) announced today that Healthy Access, Inc., Intrepid's wholly-owned clinic operating company, is making its clinic services available to local, state and federal government agencies. This market push compliments Healthy Access' mission to meet the healthcare needs of underserved urban communities. The company is in discussions with several state and local municipalities to develop and open clinics in medically underserved communities.

These clinics, which are similar to Healthy Access retail clinics with the services they provide, will be staffed with certified Nurse Practitioners with physician oversight. The clinics will provide health services at an affordable cost to many individuals that currently have few options except to overwhelm hospital emergency rooms for treatment of acute non-life threatening medical conditions such as colds, sinus, ear and eye infections. The clinics will also provide screening for such conditions as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol; and routine laboratory testing for certain illnesses, including prostate cancer, hepatitis, and certain STD's. Each clinic will also offer flu shots, vaccinations and routine physicals.
