Wow, friday must be pumpers day to do the circuit of forums boards.....
About blue ray and hd dvd's... may not be compatible with older dvd players, and has something to do with actual cabling issues and most absolutly with DRM*... do a search for drm blue ray... should explain a lot.

*digital rights management ... like Sony rootkit bullcrap..etc
