The majority of the conferences are a way to incrementally spread the word, but this past ASM conf- Kurilla's biodefense symposium was something quite different, to me anyway :) The news of that event was all I needed to see to know that the stuff was working. Then we came to find out M. Soares presented antibody data at ANOTHER Kurilla conf on mabs against bioterror threats... Those were two very important milestones, and simply knowing they took place (sans details) spoke volumes.
