I am a recent newcomer to iHub and to OWCP. I have been following this thread since I first bought in around .70. I came to this stock on a tip from family members and followed up by doing my own DD on OWCP as well as the current climate surrounding MMJ as an investment theme. This is the first stock I have ever bought and actually my first significant financial investment I have made. I don’t make a lot of money and didn’t have a lot of money saved, but I took my entire nest egg and a small line of credit that i could get in order to establish a tiny position in OWCP. (6500shares) I don’t know anything about the stock market or the otcmarkets but I do feel that now is the time to take a risk with MMJ, & OWCP is the vehicle I am choosing to take on that trip. I wanted to make my first written post this week before the conference and before the eventual blastoff of OWCP.
I happen to have also recently heard about a book called “The Black Swan” by Nassim Taleb, I have only just began to dive into his work but do see a correlation between Taleb’s concepts and my experience and perception of OWCP.
The definition of a “black swan” event per a google search is as follows: “A black swan is an event or occurrence that deviates beyond what is normally expected of a situation and is extremely difficult to predict.”
My experience and knowledge with penny stocks so far has been the understanding that it is for day trading and quick money, big risk, some rewards, etc.. gambling essentially. And my experience with OWCP, as far as interacting and talking about this stock with other people goes; is that everyone thinks short term, asking me “did you sell?’, “get out now, while your up!” etc.. because it is currently a penny stock.
But I am betting everything I got on the fact that OWCP is not a penny stock and will soon be uplisted and that the MMJ industry is poised to breakout as a truly once in a lifetime investment theme. We are seeing the end of another Prohibition, however slow and long it may take. I think that OWCP will be at the forefront of this transition. I could be wrong, I may be wrong, theres a probability and % that I am wrong. The stigma around penny stocks and cannabis would lead one to think I am wrong. But, I feel that I am right. Due your own DD, including reading other posts from the Veterans on here and come to your own conclusions.
So, if OWCP is and does what myself and others on this board think it will. From my perspective, this would be considered a “BLACK SWAN” event when looking back in the future.
I know some would argue that the rise of OWCP was predictable, valid point. Lets talk about that another time. This post is already too long.
