Well here's one way of viewing Wednesday - to make some other big announcement, the company has to release news either precisely at the time they start to present at the conference or maybe first thing in the morning EST? If they chose to that is.

As they're presenting at pacific time, the NYSE might be closed by the time they start their presentation or about to close? I'm not sure.

If they drop their news event to hit the market when they start talking as it will be quite late where they are it probably won't really affect the share price much till Thursday. They need to generate a strong amount of buying interest with their presentation as well as getting the Wall Street big guys to start building a position.
