You guys prolly know this already but it just came out in the obituaries in my paper:

Vernon Ingram, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor whose landmark discovery on the cause of sickle-cell anemia made him a pioneer in the field of molecular biology, died at 82. He died Aug. 17 after a fall.

I live near Chicago. We have good newspapers and this was a week late. I wonder why.
