We do know a deal is coming...
May not be the deal that was speculated by Spyder, but none-the-less a deal is coming.

We are actively evaluating options to realize commercial returns from this new approval

Just as with every ANDA approval up to this point, someone has to bring it to market, and I doubt very seriously IPCI would do it alone. I would like to think that a deal with the 500 mg and 750 mg strengths of the branded product "Glucophage® XR" would be every bit as much as the deal they just struck with Mallinckrodt LLC.

Collectively, the present annualized sales by third parties for the currently marketed versions of these products in the United States are approximately U.S. $2.5 billion.

Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, Intellipharmaceutics will receive a non-refundable upfront payment of US$3 million in October 2016. In addition, the agreement also provides for the Company to have a long-term profit sharing arrangement with respect to the licensed products. Intellipharmaceutics has agreed to manufacture and supply the licensed products exclusively for Mallinckrodt, and Mallinckrodt has agreed that Intellipharmaceutics will be its sole supplier of the licensed products marketed in the U.S.

After all, the Mallinckrodt deal is with one tentative and two unknown if/when they will ever be approved...whom ever gets the deal with Glucophage will have a similar Collective market share of the U.S. $2.7 billion...but will have a product that is ready for sales right away...no waiting till May!

The nearly 6 million shares traded on Friday signals something is up...whether that be speculation of a huge deal, or only the Glucophage deal, it shows a huge interest in IPCI. We hadn't seen this much interest since the Mallinckrodt deal which allowed the pps to appreciate about a dollar in two days.

What ever the interest is, I like it!
