And, in some ways, a longer "runway" provide more time for more long term safety data. Afrezza is almost for sure totally safe. It was Pfizer's hexavalent Zinc-RAA insulin that seemed to cause some cancers (and Martin Shrkeli and his buddy in FDA Hamburg created enormous problems for the nearly perfectly engineered Afrezza-TS system).

What I am most concerned about (and allow me to qualify myself as a small business owner) is that despite many in mgmt at MNKD having degrees in economics and other hocus pocus, they don't seem to have a grasp on very simple arithmetic when it comes to selling. Maybe I am wrong but every week, my self-doubt evaporates further.

Al Mann was one stubborn dude and he wanted things to work out a certain way but now he's gone. How long before the foundation says "enough is enough" and just sells it all for a few billion? It's worth that much.
