Of particular significance to me is that this was included in the very first revision of the erratta document.

In other words, the part was PRQ'd (approved for initial sale) with the full knowledge of this "problem". I have known several instances where Intel has delayed important product launches because of relatively minor issues. The fact that this made it through the final qual review is enough to tell me that this is a non-issue.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to contact either Intel or HP to see what's been done (if anything) about this. I'm not sure what good it does asking for guarantees from an investors' message board...
