Well, naked shorts don't necessarily exist, quite likely they do not and have not in an amount of any value, and given that the name and CUSIP can't take place any longer and it's been banished to the grey market, they're likely happy to cover pretty quickly with a chunky profit within the first few hours of day one. It's a blind market, MM's and brokers at a huge advantage.
