BREAKING: Sweden Responds to Trump’s Made-Up Swedish Terror Attack
Donald Trump just lied to the entire world about a fake terrorist attack that he alleged happened in Sweden. The good thing is that Sweden isn’t having any of this nonsense.
In a campaign rally on Saturday night, Trump listed off a series of places in Europe that he alleged to have been hit by terrorist attacks. Classic fearmongering from the Orange Tyrant, right?
Then Trump said that Sweden had experienced an awful terrorist attack just one day prior. Tragically, the loyalists in his crowd clearly accepted this fake narrative.
“You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden,” Trump said. “Sweden!”
“Who would believe this,” he said. “They took in large numbers, they’re having problems like they never thought possible.”
With this kind of rhetoric, you’d think that something really terrible happened in Sweden on Friday. The truth is, though, that NOTHING of a terroristic nature occurred anywhere in Sweden on Friday.
The Swedish newspaper “Aftonbladet” made a point to specifically say this in its Sunday edition. They published all the major news stories that occurred in Sweden on Friday, and none of them have anything to do with terrorism.
Looks like Donald Trump is promoting fake news again.
In all seriousness, this is another play that Trump is borrowing from Hitler’s playbook. Hitler published the fake “crimes” of Jewish people to build up fear, and Trump’s essentially doing the same thing with regard to immigrants.
So what we have here is Trump going up in front of the whole world and telling yet another big fat lie. He has no good reason to close America’s borders down, so he has to make one up.
This is truly despicable. Trump’s demonizing millions of people, and he’s doing it with outright lies.
Good thing the Swedish people aren’t pushovers. They immediately made Trump look like an idiot by reporting that NO terrorist attacks occurred in Sweden on Friday.
Trump continues to do things like this; make up attacks that don’t exist to build up a massive fear on which he can capitalize. His followers fall for it every single time.
But he’s not fooling those of us with at least a high school education that can read. Sweden made it pretty clear that Donald Trump literally fabricated a terrorist attack.
We can’t allow Trump to get away with this. We have to say something and make sure people don’t buy into his fake news.
