I like the concept as well and have been watching this and another of other energy companies trying to get a breakthrough to market.
In solarwindows case there is a reason they haven't demonstrated a working full size window, say 20x15 feet. It's to do with the laws of physics which typically have only been broken at atomic dimensions.
They keep posting how they can apply to existing glass or include in manufacturing but have yet to demonstrate said examples generating electricity because of the resistance in the micro thin wire they use to get it to the edge of the glass.
I hope they can make a connection that is so thin it will conduct and can also be installed.
If they do it is revolutionary, but until they demonstrate overcoming that obstacle I will stay watching
