The Music Man is playing on my cable TV right now. There has never been a more charming rogue than Robert Preston. No one else could have done what he did. Shirley Jones was perfect but Preston owned this movie. The library scene alone is one of the greatest scenes of choreography ever filmed. If you get a chance, watch it again.
And Ron Howard was no more than 3 years old but got a credit.
