Maybe you have missed some of the comments people have made about these new technologies:

"magical nanobot" similar to a "flying carpet," "non-existent" "fraud," conspiracy of scientists, and all that ...

and check out the quotes of entrenched physicists against Dr. Mills (some of which are found on Wikipedia and quoted by TL). To say that "the idea that academia and the scientific community is unwilling to accept new "revolutionary" developments is just wrong" is naive in the extreme with respect to BLP.

Mills has succeeded despite the scientific establishment vendetta against him. Imaging what could've been done by now if everyone accepted his theory? Soon they will have no choice.

Regarding what's holding NNVC back, I'd say it is the tight control of the technology by Diwan, not to mention apparent technical challenges. Having more money and other resources certainly would have sped this technology along faster.

We'll find out pretty soon about these things. As TL says, time will tell all.
