ASG Entertainment Production Partner Honored by Hall of Fame

June 9, 2016 – Chuck Walker of Walker Cable Productions, a production partner of ASG Entertainment, spent last week at the annual at the annual International Boxing Hall of Fame ceremonies in Canastota, New York. He was being honored as a member of the famed “1976” Olympic Boxing Team, still considered to be the best of all time.
chuckLuminaries from all facets of the boxing world attended the four-day event, which included a grand parade through the streets of Canastota and a Saturday evening banquet wherein each team member had the opportunity to speak while clips of their bouts were shown on the big screen. Boxing fans from all over the world were able to observe bronze-plaster casts of each Olympian’s fist on display in the Hall of Fame museum.
Walker and partner, Sam Cable, co-produced the soon to be released BORDERCROSS with ASG Entertainment. Walker also wrote and directed the film, which stars Lorenzo Lamas and Danny Trejo.

October 15, 2015 – cagednomore-web-hi-resThe screening of the feature film,CAGED NO MORE, Directed by Lisa Arnold, one of ASGE Aspire’s Director/Producers, took place at the La Femme Film Festival, Thursday, October 15 at the Laemmie Theater in Beverly Hills where the film took top honors, winning the award for “Best Feature” out of 100 other entries. The festival exists to promote the work of female producers, writers and directors. CAGED NO MORE is a drama meant to engage and educate audiences on the realities of Human Trafficking. The trailer for CAGED NO MORE debuted on Oct. 15th, on TODAY’s 4th Hour with Kathie Lee and Hoda. The film was shot on location in Baton Rouge, LA., New York City, NY and Athens, Greece. It is set for nationwide release in January 15, 2016.
Emmy award-winning actor and star of CAGED NO MORE, Loretta Devine (“The Carmichael Show”, “Grey’s Anatomy”) was in attendance, along with the film’s director and producer, Lisa Arnold, producer, Jarred Coates, Christos Vassilopoulos (“Banshee”), George Kosturos (Christmas With The Karountzoses), Shawn-Caulin Young (This Is Our Time), Dallas Lovato (“Sonny With A Chance”), and Madison Lovato (“Desperate Housewives”). Also in attendance were Robert Maerz, Chairman and CEO of ASG Entertainment, Valerian Owens, President of ASGE Sports, Ronnie King, ASG Entertainment’s Music Supervisor and Nancy Becker, an ASG Entertainment designated Producer who provided services as the talent liaison for production. ASG Entertainment has provided some Print & Advertising funds for the marketing of this timely, compelling thriller.
The film was a red carpet award winner at the Kingdomwood film festival earlier this month. This award-winning film CAGED NO MORE is based on Molly Venzke’s novel by the same title, which was adapted for screen by co-producer Lisa Arnold and Venzke. Starring Emmy award-winner Loretta Devine (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Kevin Sorbo (God Not Dead, “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), Alan Powell (The Song), Christian singer-songwriter Anthony Evans, and Cassidy Gifford (God’s Not Dead), the film features appearances by Gov. Bobby Jindal, pastor Chad Veach, Grammy award-nominated Christian recording artist Natalie Grant and Kathie Lee Gifford.
CAGED NO MORE will not only entertain but will bring awareness about the dangers of human trafficking, while calling everyone to join in the fight against this horrific act. Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime globally, but what most Americans don’t realize is that it’s happening in our own backyard. Every thirty seconds someone is trafficked – our children are disappearing right before our eyes. We have got to start the conversation in our homes, educate our children on the dangers of Human Trafficking and become part of the movement to eradicate this growing epidemic. We are teaming up with over 500 anti-human trafficking organizations to bring this film to theaters as well as churches across the globe. Together, we know that we can make a difference. ASGE ASPIRE Wraps BorderCross
news-the-heraldnews-bordertownMay 12, 2015 – The principal photography of BorderCross (see ASGE News April 2015 below) was successfully completed and is now in post-production. We are happy to report that the production went very well and was completed on time and slightly under budget. It was helpful that the weather cooperated. (Click thumbnails for local press coverage of the production). ASGE Aspire in association with Walker/Cable Productions is coordinating an effective worldwide distribution plan over the coming months. There is no definitive date set for the release of BorderCross, however it is our intent to release the feature film in 2015.

ASGE Aspire Finalizes P&A Funds for CAGED NO MORE and Participation in Production of BORDERCROSS
ASG Entertainment is happy to announce that they have finalized a transaction whereby the company will be providing some Print & Advertising funds for the Marketing of the upcoming movie “Caged No More”. Caged No More is a compelling feature film about the widespread crime of Human Trafficking. The movie was shot on locations in Louisiana and Greece and was directed by Lisa Arnold (a Producer of God’s Not Dead). Also assisting with components of the production is Nancy Becker Maerz. Both Lisa and Nancy are part of our ASGE Aspire team. We are proud of them and to be associated with this film and know that it will help to bring more awareness to this most horrifying crime. The movie is scheduled for a tentative release early 2016. As we get closer to the release date we will be providing various movie trailers and links for Caged No More.
April 2015 – ASG Entertainment in association with Walker/Cable Productions is currently producing the feature film “BorderCross”. BorderCross is an Action-Faith themed film that is being shot in various parts of Texas. The script was written by Chuck Walker of Walker/Cable Productions in Conroe Texas. ASG Entertainment is providing Executive Producer services and funds in the form of a Distribution Guarantee as well as Prints & Advertising funds. It is anticipated that the film will be initially released on the planned ASG Entertainment Broadcast channel, which is being served by the company “MyChannel”. ASG Entertainment anticipates the release of the film in the fall of 2015. Trailers will appear on this site as we get closer to the release date.
