What happens if they settle without having to go to court?

Do they get time and materials up to the $2M amount (which was their estimate or expenses leading up to a trial) or will they still get their % of the settlement?

I'll be happy, either way, but this stuff matters and I'm not sure the EC has someone on it who has experience with how these fees work and the client's (EC in this case) ability to reduce the fees.

The idea that these law firms are so full of work that everything gets done at 100% realization is absurd.
