Lutien and ZeaXanthin are two antioxidants that are beneficial for the eye, and frequently promoted for AMD. I'm not sure of all the clinical studies that point to a remarkable benefit, but there may be some. Since AMD is basically central vision loss, it really doesn't matter, nor does it involve the differentiation of near versus far vision. The fact remains that central vision is lost with AMD. To understand this better, pick up a magazine or newspaper, focus on one word in a sentence, and WHILE LOOKING AT THAT WORD, try to make out the word that is four or five words down, without looking away from the word you are focused on. That is a basic idea behind how debilitating AMD can be in terms of every day function.

I know that liver on a chip was touted as something the company might invest in using, and I think some of the preclinical early HBV data was retrieved utilizing it. I'm not sure of its current benefit, but in terms of toxicity, liver on a chip is a big step forward.

Not sure if 3D printing would be in the mix. Again, it's hard to get a full immune response with just an organ or tissue, but maybe biodistribution and vector expression could be utilized this way,...especially if they begin to shoot for other indications that they haven't tested for....for example, heart or pancreas...organs or tissues they haven't trailed data for.
