Long time lurker and former Intel employee but current intc holder here.

I'm puzzled about all the negativity posted here about intel and future competitive outlook. Ya the CEO has stirred things up and I must admit I'm concerned (drones, lady ga-ga etc...)
The reality is what other company is going to drive the leading edge in compute power the USA? There will always be the tag-alongs that suck the same technology-teat after the serious lifting has been completed (China included).
It looks like this board is inhabited by a small group of AMD cheerleaders. God knows they are feeling pretty good about the recent move of AMD stock from its lows to the present price (with the help of China contracts).
Who was it that said something along the lines of 'real men or tech have fabs'?
I'm sure I got that wrong because I wasn't paying attention then. I was busy at work assisting with developing the next process shrink.

Watching but not bailing on the stock until technology development doesn't matter any more. Can you AMDers and other explain to me when that might happen? I believe we have the rest of our lives to watch it unfold. That is barring any missles from the truly messed up part of the world.
