M4n it is my opinion that assets are pretty much worthless.
Yes they are the actual value that caps an investment but without a miner a gold mine is worthless.

In this case that applies.
You don't invest in an asset. (At least in stocks)
You invest in the management of that asset.
If a hedge fund thinks that someone is a cappy miner. They won't invest in their mine.

So I can't quite fathom anyone can look at the company and say "the science is awesome but this guy doesn't have the slightest clue what it takes to run a business....I am all in"

They would just wait on the sidelines for the goof to screw up and take the asset in bankruptcy.

And 800 pound gorillas don't share their plans ahead of time with a 10 pound monkeys.

If they wanted in they would just get in without any warning.
