oh bull$it. if someone is short a stock on ex date, then that just makes their cost increase. if they are wrong, there is still an offer to be taken. no c'mon. unless every shareholder says , "i'm not gonna sell until i get my price, [hmm, keep an eye on gertrude]"... then will there really be a short squeeze,,, hmm? especially with millions of shares in speculators hands?
