I hadn't looked at the race today at Gulfstream but did only after you elbowed me in the side. I did a bit of research on the internet. Looking at the field it looks like Pioneer of the Nile's son has a good handle on crossing the finish line first. He looks like the winner.
I wouldn't bet the house on Classic Empire. He beat Not This Time in the Breeders at Santa Anita by a neck, and in that race for the first time in his short career he was in with the lead runners from the start. On the upside the duo was ahead of the third place finisher by 8 lengths. Not This Time was retired after the Breeders.
Incidentally, the Chrome did not suffer a break and is safely ensconced at Taylor Made Farm. Like a good Marine he is ready to do his duty. Funny thing, he got a good going over by a chiropractor at the farm. I didn't know the practice was done on four-legged critters.
I've got a full plate going to outdoor events into the evening and will check out the race on my phone. Good luck on your picks.
