History or Learning Channel year or two ago did a story on mummufied remains in Asia that tested out as caucasian. "Silk Road" was a major trade route and apparently some folks liked it enough to stay, or at least recreate with the native population. The archeologists were surprised by the mummies attributes. Yeah more mixing in Asia - Eurasia - Mongolia than one would think, in those really early times. You don't really consider travel or trade unless you think of Marco Polo, and the history we learned in our younger days was limited and mades him look like the very first trader to open the orient -China-.
