Mr Hanes called me back pretty much immediatelly.
Really nice guy, really confused and upset about the situation.
He is not even in the investigations department and has no knowledge of an ongoing investigation (always assuming the 'that he can disclose to the public' bit here - although not said, I think that by now, it's always implied).
He did speak to Kewlman and said he seemed like a nice guy, but probably misunderstood what was being said (my editorial here: maybe at times, we hear not what's being said, but what we want to hear, or the exact opposite - our worst fears confirmed).
Anyhow, that is the gist of it - he did express deep concern about his name and number being posted on the public board... with everyone calling, he can't really do his actual job.
