They're offering it as an add-on, and probably an expensive one at that with special support and setup requirements. I think a small percentage of the OEM's customers will buy the add-on - because they don't need it and because it's unproven (and perhaps not ready). However if every one of their prospective customers buys the Sigma add-on, it could be up to 6 million $ over 7 years etc... Why doesn't anybody get that? "up to" has meaning, and it doesn't mean "equals". We got a high end, not a low end and not any definition of the criteria that would cause the high end to be realized.

Companies wouldn't sign commercial agreements unless they were planning on selling their product/s in the future.
