O/T Thanks, plexxus. It's got to be to save $$ on ingredients. I'm a bit of a "pizza snob", so I am really ticked when I see the majors backing off big time on the sauce.

Pizza Hut doesn't even put sauce on some pizzas I've had. Zero. I'd jail for life people who did such acts.

Even Uno's, a very famous Chicago style pizza has their franchisees skimping on the sauce, and I know how to make their original pizza (I have the recipe). The franchises don't even follow their original recipe anymore.

If it didn't take like 3-1/2 hours to make the thing I wouldn't bother ordering out for the family <G>
