Ok, thanks. I did a little more reading to understand the terms better. So from the link you gave. The director needs to wait until July to be able to actually purchase (and sell immediately if they choose) 25k shares at the $0.214, and has to wait until January 2018 for the other 25k shares at that price.

What still seems confusing to me, is under the column:

Number of Derivative Securities Acquired (A) or Disposed of (D)

It appears that the the shares were already acquired?

Always yield to logic
