Global Payment Technologies (PTY) Ltd (GPT), incorporated on March 12, 1997, is a cash processing solution. GPT is engaged in the supply and maintenance of cash handling equipment throughout South Africa. The Company supplies a varied range of cash-handling equipment, from machines that check, sort and count coins and bank notes, the drop to safes installed in retail outlets and credit card terminals to automated pay points. GPT serves clients in various industries, including the gaming industry, financial services sector, hospitals, government institutions and the retail sector. The Company has four business segments: Banking, Cash Deposit and Note Recycling, Retail and Gaming.
Banking
GPT offers automatic coin and bank note processing solutions. GPT supplies note counters, coin counters and scales to banks, operating in South Africa. The Company also offers teller cash recyclers, which are able to accept and pay out notes. GPT distributes, installs and services the Sumetzberger uni-tube system in many banks as well as in shopping malls for retailers to deposit cash. The cash is swept into a cash vault managed by the cash in transit operators.
GPT offers a range of services and products, including automated solutions for high speed counting, sorting, validating as well as separation of foreign, counterfeit and ATM fit/unfit notes. Cash centers in South Africa uses a variety of its equipment, such as the Glory range of spread/fitness sorters. The Company installs range of coin sorting and sachet packing systems around the world. The Company’s self-service banking solutions include ATMs, Coin and note acceptors (both lobby and through the wall), Coin and note dispensers and cash centers. The Company supplies POS Terminals and Mobile Payment Solutions, which include Pax POS Terminals that are EMV certified to accept both credit and debit card transactions.
Cash Deposit and Note Recycling Systems
GPT specializes in intelligent cash deposit taking and dispensing solutions that can manage and secure cash on your premises being able to issue floats to cashiers and do validation checks on note authenticity for loading in-store ATMs. The Company’s cash deposit deployment models cater for high and low cash volumes, SABS rated and non-rated safes, as well as integrated and non-integrated solutions.
Retail
GPT offers a range of desktop counting products for the retail back office. It has also developed cash operation solutions for the retail market, including cash deposit solutions, cash recycling solutions, tube systems, and note and coin counting/sorting solutions. Its range of desktop note counters has authentication features that ensure notes loaded into ATMs are genuine. The Company also offers coin redemption system, which enables shoppers to deposit their coins in return for a redeemable voucher.
Gaming
GPT provides a range of note and coin handling equipment both for the front desk and the back office. Its range of cash code validators are used by casinos. GPT also supplies the Hess range of cash redemption devices as well as a range of JVL entertainment machines, which are convertible through software to be used as full gaming/slot machines. GPT offers onsite technicians to various gaming outlets.
