Caught that as well. Knowing President Trump, they'll probably attempt to work with Congress initially to find a bipartisan solution, BUT, there will be a TIME LIMIT. Once that expires, he will move to quick resolution.

What caught my ear in the Mnuchin hearing was his refusal to commit to NOT circumventing Congress with regard to the GSE's. That told me TWO things ...

1. There is a way to circumvent dealing with congress for the Treasury Director. I was 99% certain that was the case, but was gleeful to have the questioner (Might have been Wyden) confirm it.

2.That it is quite possibly his plan to work around Congress, in which case things can happen at lightning speed.
