Market makers like to play games. When they are running low on shares they will walk it down like they are trying to do now, hoping someone panics and sells. Usually it takes off after they have what they want for shares. They don't play by the same rules we do. When they put in an order they have an option whether to fill it or cancel. The price may go down for a while, but it shakes out the weak hands. They want to make money just like the rest of us, they won't keep it down long.
