Hi Don, Re: Pic List Review..................

It doesn't surprise me that so few of those stocks make the Value Stock Selector list. I think there are two reasons why.

First is that many of the "100 Highest Growth Stocks" in Value Line have significantly higher P/Es than other stocks in their universe. This is due to the fact that there's been 10 years of very good growth which has attracted the Momentum Crowd. It's hard to remain a shadow stock when it's weekly listed in Value Line as a very good growth stock.

Second is how they appear on the PIC List. They need to have stumbled rather severely to have made it to the PIC in the first place. This stumble would probably interfere with any "value" consideration because it would show a slip in earnings, or some other measure. Remember PIC stocks are ranked #5, lowest in projected performance for the next 12 months at the time of their being selected for my list.

It might be more beneficial for you to scan the current "100 Highest Growth Stocks" list itself. Again these stocks are rather highly "valued" when they make this list, but they do exhibit excellent 10 fundamental growth, too. Whether they would fit a "value" screen is another thing. If you would like, I could copy the current list from Value Line to here for your review.

Best regards, Tom
