Bear, I noticed the increase in temp jobs in Friday's report and was thinking the same thing. I also noticed the July nonfarm payrolls were down 44,000 and June were revised down from -30,000 to -72,000. Do you know how the nonfarm payrolls fared in the 1991, 1992 recovery for comparison's sake? It still looks like we're losing many manufacturing jobs every month and I'm wondering if this was the case back in 1991, 1992.
