It's possible to get your average below 52 week low. For example, let's say you spend $1000 to buy 100k shares at 52 week low of .01. Let's say you then sell for .02 for $2000. Now if you buy back your original 100k shares for .015 per share, or $1500, you're sitting on $500 profit. That means your 100k shares now only cost you $500 (original $1000-$500) or .005 per share which is less than the 52 week low of .01. As you know, it's even possible to have free shares which obviously is less than the 52 week low. Same concept.
