See, imo, this is where you can not have your cake and eat it too. Ie you say Canopy has the best growers, best facilities, best management. Maybe so, but If canopy has all these great attributes how is it that their best quarter was what, a measely $8.5 mill in revenue?? For a 1.5 bill$ market cap company? Cmon, that is an absolutely ridiculous multiple of sales. That makes Amazon, netflix, facebook look dirt cheap. Lol

Now i get it, next you will say (and i have made the same argument) : well its all based on 2-5 years into the future, none of us can comprehend what a great opportunity it will be! Well the problem with that is - it may very well be true. But if it is true that its all based on 2-5 years into the future, ie the opportunity well into the future and not NOW, how can you sit there and say the market cap is based on anything canopy is doing now? The market cap it seems to me is based on the opportunity the liberals have created for Canopy and the other LPs YEARS from now, and NOT really Canopys own doing or under its own control. Just a perspective.....

Lets put it another way, if its all about rec, then the # of medicinal patients you have now is almost irrelevant. Ie those medicinal patients will be dwarfed by the rec consumers. So who cares about whos got the most rec patients now?? In that case it will all come down to who has the biggest grow space, and as far as i can tell Canopy, Aphria and Aurora all have plans to have at least 1mill sq ft grow space. Heck Supreme may wind up with that too! If that's the case why does canopy have so much bigger market cap right now than aurora, Aphria, etc etc.??

And that doesnt even take into account there are currently like 40 LPs now and who knows another 20 Lps may be approved by end of 2018??

And most of them will try to go public and try to raise $ for ginormous grows.......and the more LPs and the bigger grows....how much does that drive down price and margins.....???

Read this above article and think about the implications for awhile.....

"Though low prices are good news for consumers, cultivators will have to cope with lower profit margins on raw marijuana flowers."
